Text Box: Each StarChild Academy school utilizes the procedures outlined in StarChild Academy operating manuals that govern marketing, finance, administration, curriculum, safety, and other practices. Our service support team provides on-going guidance in all areas of operations through on-site visits and frequent telephone conferences. In addition, our headquarters personnel monitor each school to ensure that the services each school provides are of the highest quality, and are in compliance with StarChild Academy and governmental requirements. On-Site Owners Most other child care center are run solely by a hired director who has to perform all of the necessary business tasks, as well as overseeing the education program and staff. At StarChild Academy schools, the owner is on-site to manage the day-to-day business, which allows each school’s director to supervise the staff and each school’s curriculum coordinator to focus on curriculum and programming. This dual management system gives the director and curriculum coordinator the freedom to observe classrooms, mentor staff, and develop a healthy learning environment for children, while the owner is afforded the flexibility necessary to operate an efficient business. Quality Assurance StarChild Academy has developed a premier program to monitor compliance with our quality standards. StarChild Academy quality assurance representatives make quarterly visits to each school to assess compliance with a full range of health and safety policies and procedures, as well as curriculum and program performance. Although most states have a licensing agency that oversees state requirements, StarChild Academy schools are required to follow StarChild Academy’s higher standards of quality. The StarChild Academy quality assurance reviews and our stringent controls are setting the standard for quality in the child care industry. Business Management System The StarChild Academy business management system enables you to monitor the financial activities of your school on an hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly basis. As a franchisee, you will be able to generate detailed monthly financial reports that assist you in evaluating the financial performance of your school and maintaining efficiency in your operations. StarChild Academy Quality Cindy & Peter Zimmermann, the founders of StarChild Academy, are committed to providing a level of quality that surpasses anything that is currently available in the industry. StarChild Academy quality assurance reviews meticulously examine all aspects of health and safety as well as providing a detailed assessment of curriculum and programming. This absolute commitment to quality is strongly supported by franchisees. Each school’s director, curriculum coordinator, and staff are selected through interviews by the franchisee in consultation with StarChild Academy Franchise Corporation. All StarChild Academy franchisees and directors are required to attend a formal training program at StarChild Academy’s headquarters. The training includes topics such as: StarChild Academy quality standards, curriculum and programming, health and safety, hiring procedures, teacher development and training, community relations, and financial controls. StarChild Academy school buildings are designed and planned to provide a safe, healthy, and stimulating environment for children from six weeks to twelve years old. Three to four separate playgrounds are designed to challenge and delight each age group. Every StarChild Academy School: Is a fully licensed child care facility. Has highly qualified staff trained in Early Childhood Education or Child Development. Provides children with carefully planned educational programs that meet the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs of each child. Maintains an atmosphere to provide individual attention. Offers open and honest communication with parents in an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect.
