Highlights Structured programs, which are based on traditional values and proven curricula, include phonics-based reading, math, science, foreign languages, music, arts & crafts, and physical education. Full-day care for children six-weeks-old through Kindergarten. Before-school, after-school, and school-break programs for school-age children. Academics In today’s world, parents are looking for more than just day care. They want their children to learn and to be well prepared for Kindergarten and beyond. StarChild Academy schools offer a structured, traditional program with the strongest academic curricula available. We utilize nationally acclaimed curricula including A Beka, Saxon Math, High Reach, and Open Court. StarChild Academy has also created its own special curriculum focusing on art projects and other activities to reinforce the concepts learned in these curricula. In addition, StarChild Academy teaches a variety of languages such as Chinese, Arabic, Japanese, Spanish, and American Sign Language. Due to our strong academic program, StarChild Academy’s students’ reading, writing, and math skills are typically at the first grade level by the time that they enter Kindergarten. Our graduates are well prepared for Kindergarten and beyond. Individual classrooms ensure minimal disruption so that students can focus on the activity at hand. Glass walls between the classrooms provide an open environment and ease transitions from classroom to classroom as the students grow older because they can see the teachers, children, and activities in the classrooms next to theirs. Hours StarChild Academy schools are open Monday through Friday, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. This schedule is slightly longer than most other child care centers as a convenience to parents.
