Text Box: State-of-the-Art Facility Bright, open environment with tempered glass walls in all classrooms so all activities are visible to everyone. Video cameras in all classrooms. Parents can watch their children from their office via the Internet. Telephones in every classroom allow parents to speak directly with their child's teacher. Three-to-four separate playgrounds with safe, age-appropriate equipment for each age group. Extensive safety features throughout our schools. Size StarChild Academy offers larger schools than any other child care franchise. Our base school building is over 15,000 square feet with an additional 8,500 square foot classroom building available if the franchisee has sufficient land available. Not only are our schools larger, but they are designed with an eye on detail and upscale quality. This allows the franchisee to operate a much larger business than is typical in the child care industry ... all in one location. StarChild Academy’s larger building size offers the franchisee the opportunity to achieve significantly higher levels of profitability for three reasons. First, the franchisee can accommodate more children in one location than is typical within the industry. Second, since the franchisee is on-site in one school in one location, he or she can maintain much better minute-by-minute control over the school’s operation as compared to operating several school’s in several locations. Third, there are significant economies of scale in operating a larger school. For example, a small school needs a cook, a bus driver, and staff at the front desk. A StarChild Academy school requires the same number of people, but is able to spread the cost of this staff over a much larger number of children, thereby increasing profitability. Although our school buildings are the largest in the industry, our training and support programs are highly personalized. Will I need to have a facility built? Yes. StarChild Academy schools are freestanding structures adjacent to well traveled roads and convenient to either residential neighborhoods or office complexes. Our schools have 12 to 19 large classrooms. The classrooms will accommodate 12 to 30 children each, depending upon the childrens’ ages. Each StarChild Academy school has a reception area, a large dining/multi-purpose room, a complete kitchen facility, storage areas, and age-appropriate fenced playgrounds. How long will it be before I can open my StarChild Academy school? This varies according to many variables such as zoning, local laws, and construction time. From the time you are granted a franchise to the time your school opens can range from 12 to 18 or more months. What steps has StarChild Academy taken to address parent's concerns about security for the children? The design of each StarChild Academy school, combined with our well established policies and procedures, provide a safe and secure environment for every child. Each center is built with glass walls and doors so there is open, visual contact. All classrooms are equipped with cameras, so the franchisee or director can view activities from remote monitors without disrupting classroom activities. Each center is equipped with an Internet video service to enable parents to view their children through their home or office computer. This gives mom and dad the chance to see for themselves that their child is being cared for and educated in a loving, secure environment.
